Digital Marketing Intern - Join Our Team - Barcelona Based or Remote Internship

Released 21st June 2020 (1 Position Available, 5 Hours per day, Duration: Negotiable from 6 to 12 weeks

Play a valued and key role with a growing online e-commerce retailer. 

We’re currently a 5 person team with some team members based in Barcelona and others working remotely. The business mainly serves the health and wellness space. We manufacture and retail a large range of physical products. We have one of the best reputations in the industry for both quality and customer service. The business has been running for over 16 years, and it’s time for us to take on some extra help with some marketing projects we have planned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

E-commerce businesses require a huge mix of skills and activities. Because we always have a number of projects on the go we have some flexibility towards how you can help out. We are interested in hearing about your skills and what areas you want to work in. We feel if you have passion in a certain area or skill set you will be able to help the business more working on something you are passionate about.

We also do have 2 immediate upcoming projects which you can contribute to and gain experience from:

  1. Kickstarter/Indiegogo for a new product we will be launching
  2. Expand our amazon offering into new countries which will give you invaluable amazon experience.

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?

Our team works Barcelona hours 9.30am-6.30pm. 

Hours:5 hours per day, Monday-Friday.

Location:You can work with us in person in our Barcelona co-working space or you can work remotely in a different country. If you are remote, you will need to overlap with us for 3 hours each day.

Duration:6-12 weeks. We are flexible and it depends on your availability and existing skillset.

Start date: Negotiable but currently looking at beginning of August.

  • You are a self starter and a problem solver.  You won’t be micromanaged
  • You can think critically
  • You have a native level of English. Strong oral and written communication
  • You're an A-Player. Someone dedicated to our mission with no other distractions during those 5 hours each day
  • You’re organised, focused and detail oriented
  • You are great at managing and motivating yourself, working on your own and making informed decisions
  • You are able to follow our processes, and also create new ones where you see a need for improvement
  • You are flexible and can adjust your role when the business needs it
  • You're accountable for sticking to deadlines
  • You are very web savvy. You can pick up and learn new software and tools and become productive with them in a very short time period.
  • We need your best energy and focus.
  • A ‘get shit done’ attitude. You’re reliable, punctual and nothing stops you knocking stuff off your list. You’re comfortable asking questions, making suggestions, and learning from your mistakes.
  • Willingness to do more than the bare minimum on any task. If something is worth doing, it's worth overdoing!

  • Writing and persuasion skills
  • A passion for digital marketing or a certain area within digital marketing

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • How to run a successful crowdfunding campaign for physical products
  • Marketing for success in Amazon marketplaces
  • Remote communication skills
  • Other skills depending on your skillset and areas of interest

WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH?

We are a small team. You will be working directly with the founder. You will be able to directly influence and oversee projects giving you great exposure to and experience in eCommerce marketing. You will also work with our current social media and marketing person.

We mainly use Zoom and Slack for communicating and Trello for project managing.

COMPENSATION

This is a paid internship. We offer a monthly stipend.
